主讲人介绍：连大祥，德克萨斯大学圣安东尼奥分校（UTSA）商学院Richard S. Liu特聘院长，金融学和经济学双重教授，UTSA东亚研究所副主席。连教授1986年毕业于加州理工大学，获得博士学位。他的主要研究兴趣是期货市场，其次在计量经济学和发展经济学也颇有建树。他已在国际主要学术期刊如Advances and Applications in Statistics，Journal of International Economics，Journal of Futures Markets上发表经济、金融及统计学领域的论文200逾篇，同时还兼任50多个学术期刊的审稿人。连教授曾两次获得UTSA校长杰出研究成就奖。此外，连教授在教学方面也成果丰富，曾获得堪萨斯大学（University of Kansas）Kemper优秀教学奖学金和优秀教学荣誉奖。

TOPIC: He said he was not happy. Should we care?

SPEAKER: Don Lien, a world-renowned researcher, has published more than 200 papers in academic journals in the fields of economics, finance and statistics. Dr. Lien’s primary field of interest is in the futures market with supporting areas in econometrics and development economics. He has served as a reviewer for more than 50 academic journals. He has twice received the President’s Distinguished Achievement Award in Research from UTSA. His teaching honors include the Kemper Fellowship for Teaching Excellence and the Excellence in Teaching Award from the University of Kansas. He is a member of the advisory board of the Alamo Asian American Chamber of Commerce.
